A great fishing trip doesn't start in the water. It starts long before.
It starts with choosing where to stay. Figuring out where to fish. Finding a good guide. Deciding what gear to bring. Which flies or lures make sense. How the license works. How much time you'll need. And, most of all, understanding what kind of experience you're really after.
TRAMO was built to handle all of this. Not as a guide directory or a marketplace where the angler has to compare dozens of options alone. Our role is different.
You tell us what you want to experience. We use local knowledge, a network of professionals, and curation to build the fishing trip around you.
Why Patagonia
TRAMO came out of a real relationship with this place. João moved to Patagonia driven, among other things, by the pull to live closer to nature and to trout. Fishing stopped being something for vacations or weekends and became part of everyday life: watching rivers, lakes, weather, seasons, guides, shops, and the community that lives around the sport.
Living here made one problem obvious: for someone on the other side of the world, putting together a good fishing trip can be far more complicated than it should be. Information is scattered. Guides aren't always easy to find or reach. Language gets in the way. Availability is hard to figure out. Rules change between waters. Gear depends on the fishing. Lodging and logistics have to line up with the itinerary. And one small decision can change the whole experience.
TRAMO was built to be the bridge between the angler and this Patagonia.
Why curation
We don't think the best way to plan a fishing trip is to show fifty guides and ask the client to choose. Two anglers in the same week can need completely different experiences. One wants to learn fly fishing; another is chasing a big brown trout. One wants to spend the day wading; another prefers a boat. One travels alone; another with the family. One already has lodging; another wants the whole trip organized.
That's why TRAMO starts with questions. When are you coming? Where will you be? How many days do you have? How do you like to fish? What's your level? What would you like to find in the water? From there, we build.
More than booking a fishing trip
We want to build an ecosystem for anyone fishing in Patagonia. Beyond organizing trips, TRAMO brings together information on:
After booking, the client gets access to preparation specific to their trip. Not just a time and an address. Information like:
Because a better fishing trip starts with a better-prepared angler.
About João

João is an angler and the founder of TRAMO. He moved to Patagonia driven by the desire to build a life closer to nature and to trout fishing. Over the years, he has fished in different destinations around the world and experienced firsthand the challenges of organizing good trips far from home — finding guides, understanding waters, gear, logistics, and scattered information.
Living in Bariloche, he turned that experience into a simple idea: build the company he himself would have wanted to find when traveling to fish. TRAMO is born from that combination of angler experience, local knowledge, and an obsession with making a fishing trip simpler, better prepared, and more memorable.
About Jonas

With a background in architecture and real estate and a deep passion for fishing, Jonas brings a complementary perspective to TRAMO: a great fishing trip also depends on where it starts and ends each day.
His work focuses especially on selecting and developing the network of lodges and stays, looking for properties that make sense for the angler's experience — location, comfort, logistics, groups, families, and connection with the landscape.
